Chappaqua Schools

Chappaqua Central School District is located at 66 Roaring Brook Road Chappaqua, NY serving grades K-12 in Westchester County. The School District aims to teach every student educational excellence that will help students achieve their full potential intellectually, physically, socially, morally and culturally. Officials want to input innovative courses, programs and activities designed to help students to deal competently with these changes and to prepare them for effective citizenship.

The school community creates an environment in which each is recognized as a unique human being who is treated with dignity and respect. Within each student, teachers foster enthusiasm for learning, pride of accomplishment, self-discipline, self-esteem, and consideration for the ideas and values of others. An appreciation of the privileges and responsibilities of our democratic heritage, as well as an understanding of that heritage, is an integral part of each student's experience.

The mission of the Chappaqua Schools is to create a community for learning, where students, parents and staff are joined in the pursuit of academic excellence and personal growth in a caring environment. Both curriculum & instruction continues in the district, curriculum and instruction initiatives covering reading and writing across the curriculum; mathematics; information technology; and assessment literacy.

They continue to focus on developing strong classroom talk, student choice and responsibility for learning, and student problem solving skills. The School Board of Education continues to visit classes to better understand teaching and learning practices and to enable the Board and Administration to engage in meaningful dialogue regarding educational practices.
