Central York High School is located in a suburban community to the north and east of the city of York, Pennsylvania. The school's faculty and staff provide more than 1,500 students with an enriching academic experience. An extensive curriculum modeled on the Career Academy concept has produced an academic program that nurtures and encourages the development of the "total" student. More than 80% of Central York High School graduates enroll in higher education each year. In addition, a wide variety of extracurricular activities are available to help students enhance their high school educational experience.

This Technology Plan is based on the belief that a well-designed computer-based technology curriculum will encourage learning and benefit all disciplines. The heart of the Technology Plan focuses on teacher training, curriculum design, instruction, expansion, communication, student data management, and parent and community involvement. New technological developments, are continually being studied and evaluated and will be incorporated into the Technology Plan.

There are several different cultures and religions attending York Senior High School so it has a very diverse background of students. Teachers are very committed to teaching and preparing students for grade advancements while preserving the ethics and cultural environment every parent expects.
