Windham Ashland Central School

About

Windham Ashland Central School is located at 5411 State Route 23 Windham, NY. This Public School Facility is the only building with in the Windham-Ashland-Jewett Central School District and provides education for grades K-12. Just recently the Board’s Capital Project Committee, along with district officials and consultants, continue to monitor the project closely, focusing on maintaining fiscal accountability, safety and quality construction standards. To date a myriad of improvements have been realized, resulting in the active use of new and improved facilities.

Construction progress continues forward, with anticipated completion of the new classroom and gymnasium additions later this June or sooner. Additional details regarding the project are provided at each Board of Education meeting.

The School Board is comprised of unpaid officials elected by the voters to take the formal legal actions and establish the basic policies for the conduct of the schools.
The chief executive officer of the District (Superintendent) and is trusted with the duty of seeing that the Board policies and education laws are adhered to by the staff.

Students, teachers, staff and parents working together, in and out of the classroom, is the key to achieving excellence. It’s the belief that for students to be successful, parents and teachers need to work closely together and keep communications open. The staff works hard to prepare students academically, socially, and emotionally for their future.
