White Plains Middle School is comprised of administrators, parents, and teachers from both Middle School campuses. The SBC is responsible for enhancing and improving student learning and achievement and addresses issues related to that goal. White Plains Middle School believes in the value of pride, respect and a sense of responsibility as contributing members of society. Teachers will provide opportunities for all students to become independent thinkers, achieve success, and grow as individuals. White Plains Middle School has implemented a Shared Decision Making Team to ensure that all goals are met within the school and the community.

The goals of the team include the increase in home and school communication, to increase the opportunity for students to read, and to encourage pride in oneself, family, school, and community. White Plains Middle School teachers and staff endeavor to offer an encouraging, fostering, and enabling atmosphere in which the best learning environment is available for all students. Parents are very active in the parent program, which gives them the ability to work alongside teachers and staff to ensure that every child can exceed in their learning experience.
