Union Vale Middle School is located at 1657 East Noxon Road Lagrangeville, NY. This school is part of the Arlington Central School District and the Board of Education is the official policy-making body for this school. The school attends to the educational needs for grades 6 through 8 and adheres to the belief that all students develop intellectually, emotionally, physically, and socially at different paces. This public school is committed to the success of each child in a safe, supportive, and stimulating learning environment.
The school first open in 2004 and officials were present as well as district officials and the public. Several newspapers were on hand. The ribbon was cut around noon, followed by a free roam period around the new facility, following that a marching band parade occurred around the campus property.
The school was the newest addition to the ACSD schools, with a library (that includes a small computer lab), two state-of-the-art full size computer labs, and three brand new gymnasiums. Its outdoor facilities include soccer, baseball, softball, and football field, as well as a track and four fenced tennis courts.
The current Union Vale Middle School campus was built in 2004, after the school district voted on an expansion that would increase the number of schools in the area. In 2001, the local residents voted for the addition of another middle school, Union Vale, and another elementary School, Vail Farm.
