P.S. 234 Independence School Teachers are dedicated to providing the finest environment where students will learn and grow in order to become successful in all their actions throughout life. Responsible behavior by students, teachers, other school personnel, parents and other visitors is essential to achieving this goal. Long-standing expectations for conduct on school property and at school functions are respected by students. These expectations are based on the principles of civility, mutual respect, citizenship, character, tolerance, honesty and integrity. Students are learning basic educational skills in math, reading, science, social studies, music, art, and computer.
