P.S. 156 Waverly School is for students in grades pre-k through 5th grade. They serve the Brooklyn area. They are able to participate in the State and Federal Title I programs. The many students are either eligible or receive the free lunches from the free lunch programs offered. They also have many students participating in the after school activities which also include sports programs. They do not receive too much homework. They get enough that falls under the guidelines. The school has many book sales along with other fundraising programs for the students to do. They have plays and graduation just like any of the other school around the area, as well as the usual parent teacher conferences. They receive report cards as well.
