P.S. 137 Rachael Jean Mitchell School is a pre-kindergarten through 8th grade school that has been rated a 3 out of 5 star rating. They have over 365 students that attend the school through all the grades. The school is dedicated to teaching children so much that some classes have two teachers. This way they can give more attention to students for learning. The school has a Russian gymnast teacher that teaches for gym class. The school also has a Jazz musician for their music teacher. There have been times that the teacher will bring in other artists to teach the children the different lives of music. The school has some extracurricular activities even though the school is small. Every day is started out with a saying of the day and the kids write down their reaction to them. The teachers and staff are always trying to find new ways to teach the children.
