Primary School number 119, The Amersfort School of Social Awareness, also knows as The Magnet School of Global and Ethical Studies, serves to a population of Black, African American, Hispanic, Latino, Asian, American Indian, and economically disadvantaged students of all races attending grade levels 02 to 05 fostering their self-confidence and abilities to develop effectively their social and academic skills.

P.S. 119 provide their students with comprehensive programs and a K-First Grade Bridge that makes possible students writing and reading since the early stage of their academic formation. The teaching staff is integrated by high skilled professionals devoted to provide excellence in education.

At this school 79% of all their students are eligible for free lunch and 9% for reduced lunch, considering that nurturing the spirit is only possible by nurturing the body while implementing extracurricular activities such as Chess-in-the-Schools, Family Literacy, After-School Reading, Project Positive, Homework program, Junior and Senior Chorus.
