Oyster Bay High School abides by the New York State Board of Regents adopted learning standards for all areas of study. The New York State Education Department issues the core curricula and these core curricula’s are the foundation upon which State assessments are aligned and developed. At this high school there is a diversity of courses are available and an excellent academic program prepares students for entrance into college. Diverse and challenging course offerings represent a commitment to academic rigor with Accelerated, Honors, and Advanced Placement opportunities.

School-Business Partnerships assist students preparing for work after high school and for many of those who plan to attend college. With its small populace, Oyster Bay enjoys an excellent athletic reputation. The athletic department sponsors 34 Varsity and JV teams and 18 middle school teams for students in grades 7-12. The school has one of the oldest and most diversified athletic programs on Long Island. Rich in pride and spirit, Oyster Bay has been competing interscholastically since the fall of 1928 when the current high school opened.
