The Oppenheim-Ephratah Central School is proud of its excellent academic program which has been well supported by its residents. The staff acknowledges that all students are capable of learning, regardless of their abilities, race, color, national origin or creed, and works to make sure this responsibility is met.

Key studies include language, math, art, technology programs, and an innovative music program. Oppenheim-Ephratah Central School provides small class sizes, positive community support, individual attention, and encouragement where all students and staff members strive for excellence. Policies of the School are set forth and advise students, parents, employees and the general public that it offers employment and educational opportunities, including vocational education opportunities without regard to sex, race, color, national origin or handicap.

School Board members serve terms of three years. They obtain their authority from the New York State Education Law and other relevant statutes. The New York Education Law defines a school board’s general power and duties. Generally a school board oversees the district’s affairs for the student’s education, personnel and properties.
