A priority is student success. Current initiatives include improving reading and writing skills at the high school level. Teachers utilize a daily professional learning period to plan with other teachers. The time is also used to provide support and extra help to students.
The school is accredited by the New York State Board of Regents and was selected as a school of excellence in the U.S. Department of Education's School Recognition Program.
