Ms 319 Marie Teresa teachers work to provide a safe, supportive environment for children to achieve personal expression of ideas through speaking and writing and mastery of problem solving skills. The classroom environment is disciplined, structured, and inclusive so as to meet the needs of all students while fulfilling the mandate of excellence set forth in the New York State Standards and Assessments. Students enjoy the quality courses and the fun learning environment, which helps them appreciate learning, which will stay with them through their school years and beyond. Reading Aloud gives teachers and students an opportunity to enjoy literature together. Marie Teresa School teachers read to students for the same reasons that they talk with them: to reassure, to entertain, to inform or explain, to arouse curiosity and to inspire.
