Manorhaven Elementary School the development of motor skills and health related fitness: each student will be actively engaging in a variety of physical activities both locomotor and non-locomotor. They will also have the opportunity to participate in several different team and individual sports. This variety of movement experiences will provide a stimulus for enhanced motor development. Students will also learn how fitness improves health as they participate in fitness testing.

Manorhaven Elementary School note improved self-esteem and social skills of its students: Many of the activities start out very simple and can work-up in difficulty based on the student’s ability. This provides a feeling of success for each student which positively affects their self-esteem. A strong emphasis is also placed on being competitive and giving your best but also accepting the outcome while showing respect for others. Through improved self-esteem and an enhancement in motor skills students will further appreciate a more physically active lifestyle.
