The mission of Madison Central School's students, staff, faculty, administration and board of education, in cooperation with the community, is to provide a safe, healthy environment, commit to a high level of academic achievement, develop leadership and good citizenship, and promote a positive attitude toward success in life and life-long learning.

Madison expects that they will be competent readers and communicators who are self-knowledgeable, respectful, and responsible, and who possess the skills and understandings for continued academic success.

This work is accomplished by the work of highly qualified professionals and through partnerships with parents and the community, including College. In addition to core academic subject areas, students learn the value of art, music, library and media, and physical education. There are also a number of extracurricular activities in which students may participate.
