Liberty High School

About

Liberty High School is located at 125 Buckley Street Liberty, NY serving grades 8-12 in Sullivan County. The school offers a variety of academic programs including AP classes and a newly added distance learning project. Students may participate in a wide range of sports and other extracurricular activities. Officials at this school know that community involvement is on main factor to the success of a school. Parents, community groups, teachers, and administrators, will continue to work together to provide a well-rounded education for the students of the school. Parents are invited to be in the PTA, to volunteer at the school, to attend school events, and to support their children as they are going through a challenging time in their lives.

It is important to give students the community to support them through these changes. Learning technologies will be widely and equitably used in every school building to support the engagement of students, teachers, administrators, parents, and the community in helping all students to achieve high standards. Educational technology applications will deepen student engagement and improve student achievement by enabling them to access and analyze information, solve problems, collaborate with others, and communicate their thoughts and ideas. Effective use of learning technologies will allow students to become self-directed, self-motivated and lifelong learners.

The School staff and teachers work very hard to incorporate literacy learning in all areas. Social studies, science, math, health, physical education, and the arts. They know working together to achieve their vision and goals for the students are the biggest concern. Officials at the School believe all children can be successful learners. The teachers apply effective instructional strategies to meet each student’s individual needs.
