The faculty and staff provide a challenging curriculum, a warm and supportive learning environment, and many enriching experiences for all of the students. Many unique and rewarding field trips in all grade levels enhance what students learn in the classroom. This public school is situated in the Buffalo City School District and provides education opportunities for students in grades 8 through 12 for residents of Buffalo New York, in Erie County.

Lafayette High School is a comprehensive high school with the National Academy Foundation programs Academy of Finance and Academy of Hospitality and Tourism components. Academy students are recruited city-wide while non-academy students come from the school's enrollment district. Lafayette High School is located on the West Side of Buffalo, New York.

The National Academy Programs at Lafayette High School, the Academy of Finance and Academy of Hospitality and Tourism, are four-year college preparatory programs in the financial services and hospitality and tourism industries. Students in the programs take, in addition to NY State Regents required coursework, specific NAF curricula. The senior year features and requires a college course taken on a college campus. Internship opportunities are available to eligible juniors and seniors in the Academy programs.
