Kendall Junior-Senior High School

About

Kendall Junior-Senior High School is located at 16887 Roosevelt Highway Kendall, NY and it serves grades 7-12 in Orleans County. The school adheres to the vision, mission statement, and beliefs upheld by the district. Along with the basic educational needs such as math, science, social studies, English Language Arts, and computer lab, the school provides many clubs, activities, and sports for the students to develop other interests.

Students are receiving Academic Intervention Services (AIS). New York State mandates that school districts provide extra help to any students who may not meet state standards. One way that New York State measures “meeting state standards” is through testing in the areas of English Language Arts (ELA) and Mathematics. This state testing begins in third grade. If teachers think that your child may not be able to pass the state ELA and/or math exam, or if your child is not within grade level range on literacy level testing, extra help will be provided. This extra help or practice may only last a short time, or it could last all year, depending on your child's needs.

The staff of teachers and other officials works closely with parents and the entire community to provide the best education possible for students. And students really excel in this learning environment that affords small class sizes, positive community support, individual attention, and encouragement which help all students strive for excellence.
