John F. Kennedy Senior High School provides advanced placement courses in English, Math, Biology, Government, and U.S. History. The school emphasizes on preparing well-balanced students into becoming productive and responsible members of their community and society.

The school has recently implemented Positive Behavioral Interventions and Support, which links behavior and academic achievement. The system offers a positive based discipline that rewards students for doing what is right. This will lead to lower behavioral issues, which will increase the achievement of students due to the fact that more time can be spent of education instead of discipline measures.

The goal of John F. Kennedy High School is in developing the students to be "Learners Today and Leaders Tomorrow".

Athletics is a major part of the social atmosphere at John F. Kennedy School. The interscholastic athletics program has a mission that is to "provide all students with an equal opportunity for participation in competitive athletic programs, which enhance the educational values of the student-athlete."
