Rigor is essential to a caring approach to education. Hastings High School promotes deep inquiry and hold high standards for demonstrating understanding and proficiency. Students enjoy a wide array of academic courses and extra-curricular activities to take part in. Student strengths as well as areas in need of improvement are identified through the expert services of an experienced staff. Subject area courses and attending programs in related fields are geared to provide both challenge and reward toward increasing student achievement.

Specialists in music, art, library, physical education, technology, home and careers and computers enrich the curriculum. The staff and teachers adhere to the mission statement of the district and pride themselves on working together with students, parents and community to provide a safe and quality learning environment for their students.
