Harry S. Truman High School

About

Harry S. Truman High School fosters independent learning, it is equally essential that children are given opportunities to interact with others and with their environment and to learn to cooperate with their peers. For active learning to take place, the school should provide a supportive and caring environment, in which the child is encouraged to participate in his/her own learning and in which each contribution is valued and appreciated. The role of the teacher will be central to the use of effective active learning and teaching techniques in the classroom. He/she will need to structure activities and guide and direct the work in such a way that a child can participate in a real and meaningful way and can develop a sense of responsibility for his/her own learning.
