About

Hammondsport Junior-Senior High School is located at 8272 Main St Ext. Hammondsport, NY serving grades 7-12 in Steuben County. The school offers a wide variety of special experiences and opportunities. Students may choose from numerous academic electives, advanced courses, clubs, athletic programs, and social activities. Through the years, their graduates have distinguished themselves through earning awards, honors, and scholarships. Many competitive colleges recruit our students and offer them these types of incentives to attend their schools.

All of these have the purpose of contributing to the total development of a young adult. Our aim is to provide a comprehensive educational experience that balances academic learning with areas of individual student interest, talent, and curiosity, while maintaining the ability to address the personal and social needs of young adults.

Recent graduates have attended some of the most prestigious institutions in the nation including the military academies and Ivy League schools and have been inducted as National Merit Scholars. The vast majority of the Class of 2007 is pursuing further education, and over 90% of the graduating class earned Regents Diplomas or Regents with Advanced Designation. At Hammondsport Junior/Senior High School, the goal is to bring each student to their full potential, both academically and developmentally.
