Hamilton School educates an diverse student body of Hamilton School is composed of African American, Puerto Rican, Dominican, Guyanese, Haitian, Jamaican, South and Central American, Portuguese and other ethnic groups. Their main goal is to develop an exemplary primary educational program including Reading, Writing, and Math. This program serves as the foundation for higher student achievement in reading, writing, and math, which are reflective of the New York State Standards.
School programs include a K-6 Bilingual program, English as a Second Language (ESL) program and a Reading program. Part-time services include a resource room teacher, a speech and language teacher, a social worker, a psychologist, a school nurse, occupational therapist and a teacher of the Visually Impaired. The faculty and staff provide a challenging curriculum, a warm and supportive learning environment, and many enriching experiences for all of the students. Many unique and rewarding field trips in all grade levels enhance what students learn in the classroom.
