Greene Primary School is located at 127 Elementary Lane Greene, NY. This public School handles the educational needs for the town of Greene New York, located in Chenango County for all grades from K through 2. Academic Intervention Services (AIS) include additional instruction and/or student support services which supplement the instruction provided in the general curriculum and assist students in meeting the New York State learning standards.

Academic Intervention Services are intended to assist students who are at risk of not achieving the State learning standards in English language arts, mathematics, social studies and science, or who are at risk of not gaining the knowledge and skills needed to meet or exceed designated performance levels on State assessments. The additional instruction and/or support are provided in various school settings.

Reading Specialists provide instruction for identified students on a regular basis throughout the school year. Reading specialists work in conjunction with the classroom teachers to target needed areas of instruction and to serve as a resource person.

The staff and teachers strive to create a learning environment that will promote self-esteem, respect for others, and an appreciation of learning to each student. Along with this, the teachers and staff are committed to a high level of professionalism while creating an educational atmosphere with values that support communication.
