Goshen Intermediate School is located at 13 Mcnally Street Goshen, NY and it serves grades 3-5 in Orange County. The Technology Department and Committees will support the GCSD mission by integrating technology to enhance student achievement and literacy; to support standards-based instructional goals and delivery as well as technological literacy for the staff; provide administrative functions and data access through technology; and augment communication within the district and with parents and the community. The desired outcome of technology integration throughout all aspects of the educational process is to ensure that our students are well-equipped for the work place and/or post-secondary education.
Programs offered at Goshen Intermediate School include Adventure Based Learning, which is an intermediate class to participate in physical challenge based activities that encourage leadership, develop team skills, and promotes self-esteem. A Positive Citizen program that awards students in the merits for such things as showing a positive and cooperative attitude towards the quality of their work, having a willingness to try and to take risks, use manners, be helpful to classmates, respect school property, use appropriate language, show self control, show academic progress, and show improvement in their behavior.
The community, parents, and staff strive to work side by side to create a learning environment that will meet the needs of students on all levels including work academically, socially, and emotionally to help them become upstanding and productive citizens.
