Frederick Douglass Academy Vii is an academic school that prepares students for college in the language arts area. The school has a strict uniform dress code, a strict code of student conduct and wonderful teachers and staff. The school has been up and running since September of 2004 and has been serving students grade 9th-12th. The school has been offering after school classes for the children that are behind in learning and the students way ahead in learning take some college classes to advance themselves and prepare for college.

The school teaches a wide range of classes such as journalism, Film, Public Speaking, College Now, Biology, World history and many more. The school also offers a wide range of extracurricular activities like the debate team, Student Government Organization, chess, and the school newspaper. The school goes out of their way to make sure students get the learning they need for a great future and a start in life.
