Duanesburg Middle School/High School

About

Duanesburg Middle School/High School is located at 163 School Drive Delanson, NY serving Grades 6-12. The schools priorities concentrate on preparing students to meet New York State Regents graduation requirements and providing additional assistance, such as Academic Intervention Services (AIS) to students who are struggling to meet the state's learning standards. This New York public School is located in Schenectady County, New York. Historically Schenectady County was formed from Albany County on March 7, 1809. It has a population of 146,555 (2000 U. S. Census, twenty-second in New York State) and an area of 206 square miles, making it the second smallest in the state outside of New York City. The name "Schenectady" is derived from a Mohawk Indian word for "on that side of the pinery," or "near the pines," or "place beyond the pine plains."

The students will learn to use their minds well to critically analyze and respond to complex real-world issues. They will use what they learn to become successful academically and professionally and to become advocates for themselves and their communities. School officials, faculty members and support staff are devoted to creating a challenging, rewarding and safe learning environment for all students. Technology innovations have been incorporated all over the school with computers available in every class. Parents will be awed by the level of professionalism established by the teachers, staff, and administrators. You will see high standards of supportive families, conscientious learners, committed staff, and an involved community will maximize potential for student success.
