Copenhagen Central School adheres to the mission "Our mission is to become a community of learning, where all students will be afforded a variety of educational opportunities; where measurable graduation outcomes will be established which guarantee the education of the whole student; and where an atmosphere of respect, caring and trust will promote success and focus on increased student responsibility."

This public school is part of the Copenhagen Central School District, which provides outstanding learning opportunities at every grade level. It’s Literacy at Vestal Hills Elementary is where they continue to focus on enhancing reading and writing instructions. The goal is to track student growth and continually identify areas of student needs. The staff is making a collaborative effort between our kindergarten and first grade in each department, school psychologist, speech pathologist, and reading to help teachers to identify and work with students in kindergarten and first grade who need more support in early literacy skills.

Copenhagen Central School remains committed to its students to help them become aware of their social, cultural and civic responsibilities for participating in a democratic society, while acquiring the knowledge and develop attitudes necessary for emotional, mental and physical well-being to promote esteem in one's self and others, in addition, to learning the studies of language arts, social science, math, science, foreign language, and technology.
