Colonie Central High School is one of the largest schools located in the Capital Region. It offers students advanced placement courses are available to seniors in literature and composition and language and composition. In addition, students may take classes in English in conjunction with SUNY at Albany and Hudson Valley Community College.
Several classes are available to students in conjunction with HVCC. These include Computer Assisted Design I & II, Desktop Publishing, Music Appreciation, Accounting and Art History.
Two courses are offered through the College of Saint Rose Curriculum Instruction and Computer Graphics. Colonie Central High School offers some of the best educational resources available along with various music, art, and athletic programs. Students and parents alike can become involved by watching or participating in athletic programs that instill leadership, cooperation, and self-esteem. At Colonie Central High School there are several clubs, activities, electives, and extra curricular activities so each student can enjoy participating in various subjects of interest.
