Cohoes High School

About

Cohoes High School students learn from a wide variety of programs and opportunities that help them develop into well-rounded individuals. The School houses a dedicated staff of teachers and support staff that put children first. Each child's needs are looked at individually. A team effort at each grade level plans an appropriate educational plan so that students can learn to their fullest potential. Placement is based on the New York State Exams which are given throughout the school year.

The school makes use of Academic Intervention Services which is a state mandated program which provides remedial services to students who have not yet achieved grade level standards in Reading, Math, Science or Social Studies. These services are provided during the school day either in a small group or within their regular classroom setting. Cohoes High School has a well maintained facility; a rich technology environment and we provide a wide range of opportunities. The staff is first-rate. They are knowledgeable, energetic, and committed to our students and their families. The school is very fortunate to have such dedicated staff members who care about each other and each child.
