Dr. Nathan Cohen Middle School is located at 100 Robinwood Avenue Elmira Heights, NY. Cohen Middle School offers small class sizes caring teachers and educational programs and services are designed to meet the varying needs of all students and will not discriminate against any individual for reasons of race, creed, color, gender, national origin, economic status or handicap. Cohen Elementary School accepts students for grade levels 6-8 with in the Elmira Hts Central School District.

Everyone at Cohen Middle School is focused on preparing students for the world outside of the middle school. A big part of this dedication is our commitment to six pillars of knighthood: Respect, Responsibility, Fairness, Trustworthiness, Caring, and Citizenship. It is these pillars with which we build the foundation of our middle school program. The Pillars of Knighthood guide us in developing an educational program which builds key skills that will serve students through their entire lives. At the end of each marking period, we will acknowledge students who are progressing on their path towards knighthood with our honors assemblies. It is our hope that all students will choose to follow these character traits and, in turn, be recognized during the school year.

District wide, we are focusing on reading and improving reading for all students in the Elmira Heights schools. The development of reading is key to improving the quality of ALL work that students do daily in school, and is vital to their future in college, work, and life.
