Chittenango High School

About

Chittenango High School is located at 150 Genesee Street Chittenango, NY. This New York public school provides out standing educational opportunities to the local community in Madison County, for grades 9 through 12. Staff and teachers along with the community and family work together to provide the best learning environment where students can learn at their own level and become productive members of their community and society.

Chittenango High School serves approximately 800 students in grades 9-12. Multiple networked computer labs and classrooms, a fully automated Library Information Center with Electronic Doorway status, and technologically proficient staff in virtually all academic areas ensure both access and enhanced opportunity for all students. There are currently advanced and regents sections for most academic areas. AP courses are offered in English, Calculus, Biology, Physics, and American History.

Articulation agreements with SUNY ESF in science and TC3 in Foreign language provide additional college credit opportunities. Over 80% of Chittenango's students go on to post-secondary education. Seventy-five percent of our seniors take the SAT averaging 500 on the verbal and 530 in math. Strong programs in the visual and performing arts are highly subscribed to by our students. We are one of the few area schools providing a 4th-12th grade String music program. A full range of Junior Varsity and Varsity sports teams are available for male and female athletes. Average class size is approximately 22.
