Berne-Knox-Westerlo Junior-Senior High School affords graduates the opportunity to attend five leading universities, Duke University, Georgetown University, Harvard University, the University of Pennsylvania and Stanford University. There are several educational programs that are being used with the goal of encouraging the growth and development of every student’s personal interests and capabilities. There are several different cultures and religions attending Berne-Knox-Westerlo Junior-Senior High School so it has a very diverse background of students.

Teachers are very committed to teaching and preparing students for grade advancements while preserving the ethics and cultural environment every parent expects. Berne-Knox is committed to providing a safe and orderly school environment where students may receive and district personnel may deliver quality educational services without disruption or interference. Responsible behavior by students, teachers, other district personnel, parents and other visitors is essential to achieving this goal. Long-standing expectations for conduct on school property and at school functions are respected by students. These expectations are based on the principles of civility, mutual respect, citizenship, character, tolerance, honesty and integrity.
