About

Belfast School is located at 1 King Street in Belfast, New York. When you look at Belfast School, you have to look at it a bit differently than other schools throughout New York. All students from pre-kindergarten to graduating the 12th grade attend the school.

Pre-school is mainly funded by the state and is available free to residents in the Belfast School District. A few of the unique classes include literature, family type meals, and art and craft activities.

Elementary school for grades 1st through 4th has two different programs available to students. The Looping Classroom is one in which students remain with the same students and teacher for two years before switching to another class. The other programs are one called multi-age, which has students from two grade levels working together in the same classroom.

Middle School is for students in 5th through 8th grade. Along with teaching all the basics, the middle school has a student council, which helps children become involved in their school and their community.

High School consists of students from 9th to 12th grade. Along with all the basic educational opportunities, Belfast offers advanced placement courses through Genesee Community College.

Throughout the learning experience at Belfast School, teachers, staff, and parents work together to ensure the best in educational opportunities are available along with providing the best teaching skills for each student at their own level of understanding.
