Shoreham-Wading River Central School District skills are highlighted by maximizing the potential of each student, ensuring adequate annual progress for every student, fostering lifelong learners, creating better citizens, and providing the best value in education. Community Education provides a wide variety of classes throughout the year to promote a community of lifelong learning. Courses include academics, fine arts, leisure, sports and fitness, and music and dance activities. The SWR Community Band and Chorus provide an avenue for creativity and entertainment for our community. Community Recreation provides programs for all ages. There is a Teen Rec for Middle School students on selected weekend evenings and an array of sports clubs and camps for the non interscholastic competitor throughout the year for instructional and recreational purposes. Adult programs are offered as well.
