Port Chester-Rye Union Free School District facilities consist of Port Chester High School, Port Chester Middle School and 4 Elementary Schools. The teaching faculty holds masters degrees or higher, and devoted to reaching diverse learners. Port Chester offers an instructional technology program focused on improving student achievement, with schools having one computer for every three-four students.

The districts four elementary schools serve kindergarten through 5th grade, and 2 are full-service community schools, offering a full array of social and health resources to our students and their families. All offer a variety of resourceful programs in arts, technology and science. The Board of Education develops policies governing the operation of the Port Chester Public Schools. The Board's executive officer, the Superintendent of Schools, has responsibility for implementing those policies. Trustees, who are elected by district residents, serve three-year terms without compensation.
