New York City District #20 has a very large population of student immigrants from Korea and Taiwan. While the district works to provide good education the school system is overcrowded and there is a great need for more school facilities to be built to meet the needs for its population. New York City District #20 encourages extra-curricular activities for students. Athletics is an extension of the classroom and contributes greatly to the overall education of our students. Athletics teaches the students qualities that are necessary to achieve throughout their lives including, self-discipline, teamwork, sportsmanship, and competitiveness. Through the physical education programs, all students have a great opportunity to grow, develop, and achieve to their potentials.
