New York City District #19 Schools

New York City District #19 believes that if the community all work together it will ensure good schools and a safe environment for all students. The community is stead fast in its endeavors to solve problems with in the school system. Over all reading and math scores were good in the school system but several school educators agree they still need improvement. Low budgets are causing some of the problems and many of the teachers are leaving for higher paying jobs at other schools. New York City District #19 Educators are working to increase the learning opportunities and scholastic achievement for all students, including those at-risk of academic failure. There is an abundance of student services available within the school system starting at pre-school age and up to 21 year old for people that want to continue their education.
