New York City District #15 has set into place Standards of Discipline to protect the 1.1 million students who attend school in New York City. Officials work to ensure that children have an equal opportunity to learn regardless of race, color, ethnicity, national origin, religion, gender, gender identity, gender expression, sexual orientation or disability. Members work toward education reform and realize that it requires a comprehensive and integrated plan, involving changes in strategy, leadership, management, people, and programming. The New York City District #15 curriculum has been developed to challenge and stimulate the minds of students and keep them up to State standards of learning. There is an abundance of student services available within the school system starting at pre-school age and up to the 21 year old that want to continue their education. The district continues to improve the relationship between the District and the parents of the students, and increase test scores across the board.
