New York City District #14 is dedicated to noticeably improving the academic performance of all students and provides opportunities for students to reach their fullest potential. The District will also support students in meeting their basic needs that will build self-esteem, motivation, and pride in a positive, safe and nurturing environment. District #14 recognize the importance of its partnership with students, parents, and the community in developing secure and capable graduates by fostering citizenship, social development and life long learning. District #14 of the New York City public school system is apart of the most influential school systems the United States. New experiments in education, text book revisions, and new teaching methods often begin in New York and then span out to the rest of the country.
