New York City District #12 is made up of a diverse population of students and the district continues working to meet state standards and Regents requirements, as well as state and federal laws regarding health, safety, civil rights and student assessment. Educators with in the school system work to increase the learning opportunities and scholastic achievement for all students, including those at-risk of academic failure. They encourage the use of different and innovative teaching methods while providing parents and students more educational choices within the public school system. District 12 continues to operate under the idea that all students are capable of learning, regardless of their abilities, race, color, national origin or creed, and works to make sure this responsibility is met. New York City District #12 seeks to create new opportunities for motivated teachers, school administrators and personnel.
