New York City District #10 schools comply with the No Child Left behind Act. Every school in the District works toward making Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP) if it achieves the minimum levels of improvement determined by the state of New York in terms of student performance and other accountability measures. District 10 is rich with education opportunities for students of all ages and grade levels. There is academic programs that meet all the needs of students while promoting each student to excel to the best of his or her ability. The courses at the various schools promote a wonderful environment in which students will learn while enjoying their school days. All basic educational courses are taught with the student in mind while teaching politics or other non-traditional courses. District 10 teachers and staff take education serious and want each student to achieve their full potential while preparing them for higher education along with various studies to enrich their learning environment. Along with the teachers and staff, parents also contribute by becoming involved in all the activities and showing their pride in their children’s achievements.
