North Colonie Central School District is located in the Capital Region which includes 11 counties and over 80 schools. Since 2003 it has been ranked in the top 3 and in 2004 through 2006 it was ranked number 1 for its performance record. The district remains dedicated and continues to prepare students to meet the demands of New York State exams and Regents diplomas. North Colonie Central education programs are designed to promote the academic and personal development of each student.

The North Colonie Central School District District’s Board of Education establishes policy, has the fiscal responsibility to provide a budget and directly hires the superintendent of schools. The Board is composed of nine members who serve five year terms. The District provides offers a diverse selection of continuing education programs that meet the many varied interests and needs of the community. They encourage the community members to be lifelong learners and take advantage of the fall, spring and mini-sessions.
