Its school board has 7 members serving without pay that are elected by the community. North Babylon encourages extra-curricular activities for students. Athletics is an extension of the classroom and contributes greatly to the overall education of students. Athletics teaches students qualities that are necessary to achieve throughout their lives including, self-discipline, teamwork, sportsmanship, and competitiveness.
