Mt Pleasant Schools

Mt Pleasant Central School District has above average teaching results that exceed similar schools. The education attitude adopted by this district is to provide a positive, nurturing, and enabling learning environment for all students and adults. Along with the music program, the Mt Pleasant Central School District prepares students for higher education through all aspects of learning and testing. This way each child after graduation will be ready to achieve excellence whether in college, a university, or in life. The District continues an ongoing pattern of improvement. Teachers are all very proud of students’ academic achievement as measured by our State Assessment scores. The students are now achieving at levels that are similar to upper middle class and even affluent school districts, and we predict even better results next year. Other goals and philosophies include teaching students to empower themselves to be able to handle challenges in their lives and make them valuable citizens in a democratic society.
