The District has a goal to prepare all students to confidently and competently pursue their goals and to demonstrate ethical responsibility to the world around them. At early grades Reading First focuses on putting proven methods of early reading instruction in classrooms. Through Reading First, states and districts receive support to apply scientifically based reading research—and the proven instructional and assessment tools consistent with this research—to ensure that all children learn to read well by the end of third grade.

Morristown Central School District develops a more rigorous mathematics, science and/or technology curricula that are integrated and aligned with State and local academic content standards and with the standards expected for postsecondary study in engineering, mathematics, and science. The school is the LEA (Local Educational Agency) for a joint project in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics in cooperation with St. Lawrence-Lewis BOCES and Clarkson University.

The PTA endeavors to promote the welfare of children and youth in home, school, community, and place of worship. To raise the standards of home life. To secure adequate laws for the care and protection of children and youth. To bring into closer relation the home and the school, that parents and teachers intelligently in the education of children and youth. To develop between educators and the general public such united efforts as will secure for all children and youth the highest advantages in physical, mental, social, and spiritual education.
