The district provides educational programs to approximately 2,575 students from pre-kindergarten through grade twelve. Malone is a village in the northeast of New York State, in Franklin County.

Parents and community members are encouraged to participate in parent-teacher organizations, on school improvement committees and other ad-hoc committees. Community support through attendance at concerts, plays, games, etc. is beneficial to a student’s development and provides a cultural and entertainment opportunity for community members.

The district has a full curriculum with an emphasis on early intervention ensures that all students have the opportunity to maximize their potential and to prepare for the upper elementary experience. Two schools provide instruction to students in grades 3-5. Flanders Elementary and St. Joseph’s Elementary are both located in the Village of Malone, with each serving approximately half of the students in the district.

The program at these buildings maintains a student centered approach providing developmentally appropriate intermediate level instruction. Malone Middle School serves students in grades 6-8 utilizing a full Middle School concept, while students in grades 9-12 attend Franklin Academy, receiving a comprehensive high school program.
