Islip Schools

Islip Union Free School District collaborates with other stakeholders to develop a code of conduct that clearly defines expectations for the conduct of students, district personnel, and visitors on school property and at school functions. District Committee on Special Education meets to discuss and problem solve issues that affect programs for students with disabilities. Islip Union Free serves a diverse, multilingual student population of immigrants to the United States. They seek to provide each student with a language-rich learning experience that moves them to a point where they can read, write and communicate effectively in English and their native language. The students will learn to use their minds well to critically analyze and respond to complex real-world issues.
