Harborfields Schools

The Harborfields Central School District is home in a hamlet known as Greenlawn, which at one time was known as Oldfields and Little Cow Harbor. By the late 1800’s everyone knew the area as Greenlawn, which has stayed until this time. The district is home on the north shoreline of Long Island in the Huntington Township.

The Harborfields Central School District is one that has seen a few celebrities pass through their doors including Mariah Carey that attended the high school in the district.

The Harborfields Central School District offers a quality education for the communities of Centerport and Greenlawn. The small town atmosphere allows students to learn in a safe and secure environment that instills the endeavor to become lifelong learners.

The district has four schools, which include Washington Drive Primary School for grades kindergarten through second, Thomas J. Lahey Elementary School for grades third through fifth, Oldfield Middle School for grades sixth through eighth, and Harborfields High School for grades ninth through twelfth. The district holds traditional values of home and family at the center of their learning environment as well as instilling responsibility, exceptional academic endeavors, along with utilizing modern tools and resources.
