East Meadow Schools

East Meadow Union Free School District serves the communities of East Meadow and Westbury, and the district over looks nine schools. Its School Board has seven elected members that serve for three-year terms without pay and are responsible under state law for establishing the policies governing the operation of the East Meadow Schools.

In order to participate in this technological age effectively, students must be information navigators, critical thinkers and analyzers, creators of knowledge and communicators using a variety of technologies. Integrating technological instruction throughout the curriculum provides the essential skills to meet state and national learning standards.

East Meadow Union Free School District abides by the New York State Board of Regents adopted learning standards for all areas of study. The New York State Education Department issues the core curricula and these core curricula’s are the foundation upon which State assessments are aligned and developed.
